Our sound plush keychain and sound fridge magnet are powered by a small button cell (coin) battery. Button batteries are common, but they can be very dangerous if swallowed. Please read this before using or gifting a sound item.

WARNING: INGESTION HAZARD. This product contains a button cell or coin battery.

  • DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.
  • A swallowed button cell or coin battery can cause internal chemical burns in as little as 2 hours.
  • KEEP new and used batteries OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
  • Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is swallowed or inserted into any part of the body.

Who these products are for

These are novelty items for ages 14 and up. They are not toys and are not intended for young children. Do not give them to children under 14, and keep them away from small children and pets.

If you think a battery was swallowed

  • Go to the emergency room or call 911 right away. Do not wait for symptoms.
  • Call the National Battery Ingestion Hotline at 1-800-498-8666 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 for guidance.
  • Do not induce vomiting. Do not let the person eat or drink until assessed by a medical professional.
  • If possible, bring the product packaging or a battery of the same type with you.

Safe use

  • The battery comes pre-installed. It sits in a secured compartment. Do not open the compartment or remove the battery.
  • Check the item regularly. Stop using it if the casing is cracked, the compartment is loose, or the battery is exposed.
  • Do not swallow, chew, crush, heat, puncture or put the item in fire or water.
  • Do not attach the magnet or keychain where small children can reach it.

Disposal

  • Do not throw button batteries in household trash. Recycle them at a battery drop-off point and follow your local rules.
  • Used batteries can still be dangerous. Before disposal, cover both sides with tape and keep them out of reach of children.
